Our outdoor classroom is focused on nature, creativity, and an emergent curriculum that promotes and inspires a connection with nature. We work to create a warm environment where a child feels comfortable to take risks and is empowered to express themselves through learning and playing.
We are proud to offer:
Nature infused learning spaces: Our classroom features many different areas that inspire hands-on exploration including sensory bins, a sound wall, mud kitchen, water wall, fairy house, and dramatic play area. These spaces encourage curiosity and creativity while fostering a connection with nature.
Outdoor exploration: Daily opportunities for nature walks, gardening, running, climbing, and free play.
Emergent curriculum: Lessons and activities that are guided by the children's interests and the seasonal changes. We work to encourage resilience, creativity, and independence with a focus on activities that celebrate seasonal changes, weather, and the local ecosystem.
Creativity and child-led play: Open ended art projects and storytelling in our dramatic play area help create many opportunities for imaginative play and collaboration for social-emotional growth.
