Family Health Workshops

Thank you to the Phelps County Children's Advocacy Network for their generous grant to fund our Family Health Workshops. These classes are free to the community! We have several programs in the works for Spring 2026. Please check here again soon!

Please click here to register one pre-teen girl, ages 9 to 13, and their trusted adult for participation in the Girls in the Know Empowerment Workshop Series. Registration is free, but not guaranteed. Space is limited. You will receive a follow-up email confirming your registration or placement on a waitlist.

Girls in the Know is a four-part workshop series taking place four Wednesdays in April 2026 - April 1, 8, 15, and 22. April 29 will be a rain date in the event a day is cancelled for weather. All sessions will take place in the Audubon Trails Nature Center outdoor pavilion located at 550 Meriweather Ct., Rolla. Please come dressed to be outdoors and bring a water bottle and snacks if desired. The workshops are from 5:30pm to 7:00pm each session.

The four part series covers the following topics and features an expert speaker each week: 

April 1- Empowering Pre-Teen Girls

April 8- Promoting a Health Body Image

April 15- All About Safety 

April 22- Let's Talk Puberty

The workshop is meant to be a safe place where girls can ask questions and discuss topics that may be sensitive. We ask that all individuals respect the privacy and confidentiality of the other participants.

This workshop is being offered free to the community thanks to a grant from the Phelps County Children's Advocacy Network and the partnership between the Rolla Outdoor Collaborative School and the Ozark Rivers Audubon Chapter. For questions please email director@rollaoutdoorschool.org
